The Eight Things We’re Most Excited about at Circle Day 2024

An audience of web designers clapping during a presentation

The highly anticipated Circle Day is quickly approaching and the enthusiasm is tangible (just look at the Circle Forum!). Scheduled for September 18, 2024, the event brings together Circle members from all corners of the globe, both in person and online. With this year’s theme “Power Up,” Circle Day is the best opportunity for web designers, developers, SEO experts, creatives, and more to connect, share ideas, and get inspired.

Whether you’re attending in person or tuning in virtually, Circle Day promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with insightful sessions, networking opportunities, and a chance to celebrate the vibrant community that makes Circle so special.

Here’s what the Squarespace team is most looking forward to at this year’s must-attend event.

1. Networking and gathering IRL and online

The magic of Circle Day lies in its ability to unite the Circle community, offering a rare opportunity to meet fellow members and Squarespace team members face-to-face and forge meaningful connections. Attendees will have the chance to network with industry leaders, share experiences, and collaborate on exciting new projects.

For those joining online, the event’s virtual platform ensures everyone can participate in dynamic discussions. Whether you’re shaking hands in person or engaging via chat, the sense of camaraderie and collective inspiration is truly unparalleled.

2. Worldwide community

And speaking of uniting online, the Squarespace team has introduced a new concept to Circle Day—World Loop. The World Loop encores invite Circle members from around the world to tune into replays from the event the day before while participating in real-time chats. Plus, local Circle members will present live sessions, representing pros in Germany, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.

3. A peek at Squarespace Refresh

Each year, Squarespace announces a new set of features and updates with Squarespace Refresh. Circle Day attendees will gain an early preview of what’s to come from Chief Product Officer Paul Gubbay. Paul will share tools to streamline your business and help you and your clients stand out.

4. Catching up with Anthony Casalena

Squarespace Founder and CEO Anthony Casalena returns to the Circle Day stage for a conversation with Paul. The two will chat through highlights from Squarespace Refresh and share what’s on the horizon for Squarespace.

5. Circle member-led sessions

Adding to the excitement, Circle members will lead insightful sessions on various crucial topics, including content creation, successful business tactics, and ecommerce branding strategies. These sessions are designed to empower you with practical knowledge and innovative strategies straight from the experts. Whether you’re looking to enhance your content flywheel, boost your client’s commerce presence, or streamline your business, the diverse range of sessions ensures there’s something valuable for beginners and experienced professionals alike.

6. Refresh Café

In-person attendees can get their hands on new products and tools in the Refresh Café. They’ll meet product managers and developers while enjoying refreshments in a true cafe-like environment. Plus, these Circle members will enjoy photo opportunities and capture memories with fellow attendees.

7. Branding consultations

In-person attendees also have the exclusive opportunity to participate in one-on-one branding consultations with some of the Circle’s most creative experts and marketing pros. Participants can use the time to ask questions about their brand identity, solicit advice on a client project, or learn tips to power up their business. Reserve your appointment now—spots are limited!

8. An interview with Kinjil Mathur

To close out the day, Jacqueline Gonzales, Vice President of International and GTM, will interview Chief Marketing Officer Kinjil Mathur. The closing keynote will touch on the opportunities and challenges that are common to both Squarespace and Circle members: balancing brand-building and performance marketing, using intuition and data to increase marketing efficiency, and evolving your marketing strategy and message as your offerings and ideal customer change.
