Art of the Pitch With Rache De Luna, Vic King, and Amanda McNay on Circle Live
Effectively pitching your web design services to clients is an art. Every designer has their own unique style, expertise, and approach that informs how they win over clients.
During the July 2026 episode of Circle Live, three web design experts—Amanda Jones McNay of AJM Design Studio, Rache De Luna of Squarestylist, and Vic King of Strong Sites—demonstrate how they consistently nail the all-important pitch with prospective clients. While their approaches differ, each guest shares how their mock client’s site will fulfill business objectives, explains their creative vision, and identifies the Squarespace features they’ll use for the site build. This context matters because it’s ultimately what clients weigh when deciding whether to invest in a custom site or choose to work with you.

How to pitch a summer camp
Amanda pitched a fictional kids art camp, Camp Bennie, on a website that feels like process art, where kids can experience the artistic process without pressure on the final result. Her pitch emphasizes featuring the camp’s story, impactful stats that demonstrate the camp’s impact on kids, camper testimonials, an instructor application, and a visually prominent, streamlined donation solution.
How to pitch a wellness retreat
Rache pitched a website to a wellness retreat client, Aurora Wellness, on an AI- and organic search-friendly site that attracts high-intent visitors like Marina, Rache’s example guest. Key pitch elements include an hourly walkthrough of what Marina can expect from her stay, an accordion block with frequently asked questions, and a self-qualification section on the booking page with statements Marina must confirm are true before she can book. These reflect Rache’s strategic vision for the site: to guide right-fit prospects like Marina to book their stays without friction and filter out those seeking something else from a retreat.
How to pitch a skydiving school
Vic pitched his services to Air Skydiving Club, a mock skydiving school, for an ecommerce site optimized for selling services to thrill seekers and merch to those less inclined to jump out of a plane. His pitch offers a live demo of a premade example site that pins an image of a skydiver to the right of the screen to add visual intrigue and keep visitors’ attention as they scroll down to a call to action applicable to both audiences: to purchase a shirt.
