Brand kit
Upload your clients’ assets so that they can publish brand-level content easily, with consistent branding.
Colors
Set your clients’ brand colors and add them to your palette. Select the brand colors by hex code or use color the color picker.
Fonts
Upload your clients’ custom fonts or fonts that match their Squarespace website and other marketing materials. Font files can be uploaded in OTF or TTF format.
Logos and stickers
Sync logos and add images as stickers into the app so your clients can easily add them to any story, any time. For best results, upload logos in transparent PNG format with a width of 200 pixels.
Web dashboard
In the Web Dashboard, you can manage your Brand Kit and Web Stories all in one place. You can also update preferences and log in to your Squarespace account from here
Web stories
Share your stories on social media and your Squarespace website with a stori.es link. Saved stori.es links, both published and unpublished, will appear in your Web Dashboard.
If you create a story for your social media account and don’t create a stori.es link, your story won’t be saved in the Web Dashboard. Saving your stories as a stori.es link lets you share on the web and store for reference later.
Working with clients
Whether your client owns a personal website or an online store, Unfold Pro can elevate their marketing and brand strategy. With that in mind, we’ve recommended two different workflows for working with clients to grow and maintain their brands across social media.
Account Management
Build in your client’s account
Clients can create their Unfold account using their Apple ID. Currently, there can only be one login per account, so you’ll need your clients’ login credentials if you’re building their Brand kit directly in their account.
Help your clients (if needed) set up their Unfold account using their Apple ID and let them know you’ll be going into their account to build their Brand Kit.
Create the Brand Kit in their account, uploading brand colors, fonts, and images.
Show your clients how to create branded stories using their Brand Kit.
Build in your account
Create your own account where you’ll manage each client's Brand Kit one at a time. Currently, you can only have one Brand Kit per account.
Create your clients’ Brand Kit directly in your own account using your clients’ assets such as colors, fonts, and images.
Export (download) the Brand Kit and send the .kit file to your client.
Show your clients how to import their pre-made Brand Kit into their account and begin creating branded stories.
Create an account
Once you’ve chosen a workflow for you and your client, you can set up your new account.
Download the app.
Sign up with your Squarespace account or log in using your client’s credentials.
Upload assets like colors, fonts, and logo to the Brand Kit.
Share stories on social media and Squarespace websites with a storie.es link.
Manage your Brand Kit and Web Stories all in one place.
Offering Unfold Pro as a service
Whether you create your clients’ stories or just build their Brand Kit depends on your preferences and arrangement with the client. You can add the cost of Unfold support to their website service fee, offer it as a standalone service, or present it to them as an option to take on independently.
Here are a few considerations to think about when offering Unfold as a service.
Brand kit setup
As their website designer, you already have insight on the client’s color, font, and overall design preferences, so setting up their Brand Kit should feel seamless and allow them to create consistent, branded content.
After you build the Brand Kit in your clients’ account or export it from your account to theirs, you’ll be hands-off and your client can manage their Unfold account on their own.
Creating stories
You can create stories and save them as unpublished for your client to post later on, or sign out when you’re finished building their Brand Kit for them to manage independently.
Alternatively, if you prefer to manage the Brand Kit from within your own account, you can export the completed Brand Kit file and send it to your client who can then import it into their own account.
Client budgets
Some clients might have a marketing budget separate from the development of their website. Check with your client to see what makes the most sense for their business.
If you’re offering your clients ongoing maintenance on their social media presence, you might absorb the cost of Unfold into your overall charge.
