How to Save Time and Scale Designs with Account Saved Sections

Squarespace Account Saved Sections

Whether you're juggling multiple projects or focusing on one at a time, there's always room to streamline your workflow. You know what designs work best, which means you might use some of your more effective layouts across multiple projects. With Circle-exclusive account saved sections, you can simplify that process to scale your designs across all projects. Best of all, these saved sections automatically adapt to each site's branding and styles, so all that’s left is updating the copy and content. Read ahead to learn how this feature can help you save time and work more efficiently on Squarespace.

Feature overview: Account saved sections

When you create a page section layout you want to reuse, you can add it to your saved sections. This saves the features and design of the layout that you can then add throughout the site. This is great for websites where you want to reuse a particular layout on multiple pages.

Now, you can save sections at the account level, making it possible to apply your favorite designs across many websites. Whenever you create a new favorite section, like a go-to layout for displaying products, a pitch-perfect about page, or an effective site footer, you can save these elements to your account as saved sections for future use across different websites.

How account saved sections work

Account saved sections hover

Account saved sections function similarly to the existing saved sections feature. When you click the ♡ button on a section, you’ll see two options for where to save the section: This site and Your account.

If you select Your account, the saved section will now show up in the section picker under a new tab on any site where you have editing permissions.

You can delete, rename, and search for sections by name in this view.

A few things of note:

  • Saved sections aren't linked to the original section. Updating the original section won't update the saved version or anywhere else you've added it.

  • Saved sections preserve content and design elements, but inherit the styling of the site where you add them. Some settings, like storage connections in form and newsletter blocks, won't be carried over from the original section. Set up all form and newsletter storage on saved sections manually.

  • It's not possible to save collection page sections.

A game-changer for web designers

You’re in the business of delivering high-quality websites to your clients. And as you scale your business, you don’t want to sacrifice quality for quantity. With account saved sections, you can streamline your workflow without compromising design integrity. By reusing templated sections instead of recreating them from scratch, you’ll save valuable time while ensuring consistency across projects.

This extra time gives you space to focus on other core aspects of your work—strategy, creative fulfillment, client collaboration, and more. With account saved sections, you can work smarter, deliver faster, and maintain the high standards your clients expect.
