Set S.M.A.R.T. goals for your business. S.M.A.R.T. is an acronym for goal-setting criteria: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-based. When using this model for goal setting, the more specific and measurable your goals are, the better you can gauge your success.

The following are some examples of S.M.A.R.T. goals you can set for 2024.

  • I plan to gain at least three new clients each month.

  • I will take these three steps to break into a hot new trend in web design (list your steps and specify which trend).

  • My income will grow by at least 15% year over year.

  • I will create and offer two new courses for my clients. I’ll create the first course in the first quarter of the new year and the second course in the third quarter.

  • I will learn one new skill and add one more service to my offerings (specify which skill and which service) by April 1.

  • My business will show up as one of the first three listings in the results when people search for a particular keyword (specify which keyword) by June 15.
